Range report: 229 edition
Posted by Lissa on November 23, 2009
Good morning all! Gunnie goodness below the fold:
Had my first shoot at the Lissaville Gun Club yesterday. As Weer’d Beard mentioned, it’s really nice! Very quiet, compared to Manchester Firing Line. I imagine that’s because 1) there were at most two other shooters going while I was there, 2) no one had rented shotguns, or machine guns, or big boomers like that. Also, I wasn’t racing the clock; I could take as much time as I liked between groups. I felt free to wheel the target in after just one shot, in fact:
To put it in perspective — here’s what it looks like when the target’s at its proper distance:
That yellow line is challenging — it’s a lot farther out than I’d been putting it at Manchester Firing Line — but apparently I managed okay 🙂
Special thanks to Weer’d Beard, for joining me during my Saturday trip!
UPDATE: Jay G links. Thanks!

That’s a slick shot, Lady!
Also note all the sound deadening material on the range, that’s a BIG help over the standard concrete bunker layout of most indoor ranges.
Glad the new piece is working out for you!

All my one shot groups are sub MOA too…
How far is that? 25 yards or so? Good shot.
